A man, identified as Ogadinma Chukwu, has lost his life while having sex with a commercial sex worker at a popular brothel located on St. Michael's Road, Aba, Abia State. Sources said the deceased, whom they alleged to be a regular visitor to the brothel, died while romping the prostitute. It was gathered that immediately Chukwu slumped and died, the prostitute contacted her colleagues and the manager of the brothel who moved his corpse to a sanitary lane at the back of the brothel. As a result of the development, shop owners around the area quickly closed business for fear of police arrest. Those who spoke anonymously to our reporter disclosed that some staff of the brothel at about 5 p.m. brought out the corpse through their back door, dropped it at the sanitary lane and disappeared. The ongoing legal battle between Chocolate City and Brymo is set to continue as the case has been adjourned to a later date. At a sitting yesterday at the Federal High Court in Lagos, the presiding judge, Justice Buba I.N was forced to adjourn the hearing after counsels from both parties clashed in the courtroom. The session started by 11:14 a.m and ended by 1:00 p.m. Brymo's legal representative, Nike Olagbede and Chocolate City's counsel, T.O Lawal clashed after a disagreement which led to the use of derogatory words between the two learned counsels during a court session. Justice Buba then announced that the case will be adjourned to a later date. 'I will adjourn this case because the counsels have failed to portray themselves according to the stipulations of the court acts and acted in complete disregard to the court regulations,' Justice Buba said. A yet to be identified man on Monday successfully traded a 15-year old boy, Seun Aderinwale, for two bags of rice valued at N20,000 at Igando in Alimosho area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria. According to eyewitness account, the man, whose address is unknown, went to 4, Ifesowapo Street, Igando, on Monday morning to buy two bags of rice from a shop owned by a woman identified as Iya Ibrahim. The rice seller was not available at the time but her son, Ibrahim, agreed to the man's proposal to drop Seun, an Aluminium apprentice, as collateral, in order to collect the two bags of rice and return later to pay. BENIN—Edo State governor, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday, said that his government had no apology for sacking 836 teachers in the state. He spoke on the heels of the disclosure by the leadership of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, that he had promised to review the recent sack of the teachers, with a view to recalling those who were improperly sacked. Oshiomhole, who spoke through the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, said his administration was poised to sanitise and revitalise the education sector to produce students who would pass the Senior School Certificate Examinations without recourse to miracle centres, noting that the presence of some teachers that could not read, write or speak good English would not produce intelligent pupils. The resolution followed the massacre of about 50 students of Federal Government College in Yobe State on Tuesday by the insurgents. The development came just as the Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma Egba and the Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, Senator Bukola Saraki, in separate statements, described the perpetrators of the massacre as “bunch of animals.” The Defence Committee passed the resolution when the Chief of Army Staff led top officers to the upper chamber on 2014 Budget defence . The issue of Yobe massacre was raised by a member of the committee, Senator Babafemi Ojudu through a point of order predicated on orders 42 and 102 of the Senate standing rules. The Committee in a two-page statement containing the resolutions, explained that, it came up with the decison after they engaged in a two-hour brainstorming session with the Army chief on the way forward out of the Boko Haram menace in the North Eastern part of the country.
