Ekiti 2014: Fayose Emerges PDP Flag-Bearer

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose,
will now have another chance to return to the Ako-
Ekiti Government House later in 2014. The
politician, on Saturday, emerged winner of the
primary conducted by the national leadership of the
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for all its
aspirants, following difficulty in persuading its 16
aspirants in picking a consensus candidate for the
poll.
Fayose polled a total of 462 votes to beat others.
Ex-Governor Peter Odili served as the Returning
Officer for the primary.
Former Minister, Caleb Olubolade, contested in the
primary along other candidates. Gubernatorial
election holds in Ekiti State on June 21, 2014.

"Aviation experts and analysts have said that Nigeria is the fastest growing aviation market in the world after China". At least 12 brand new private jets ordered by Nigerians and some corporate bodies will be delivered to the country this year. This is an offshoot of the projection by private jet manufacturers to deliver 70 brand new private jets to the country within the next five years. Confusion enveloped the Shagari Plaza on Moshood Abiola Way, Garki-Area one, Abuja, on Thursday over an explosion in the shopping complex. Customers and residents of the area fled the neighborhood fearing that the explosions, which occurred in quick succession, were the handiwork of violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, and could be bomb blasts. An eyewitness said the first explosion occurred at about 5:17pm when a gas cylinder exploded. A jeep parked close to the gas dispenser went up in flame. The gas retailer, who tried to recover his money kept under one of the cylinders was also caught in the explosion while trying to save his earnings for the day.
